Hawley JOBZ

Businesses which start, expand or re-locate into the Zone are eligible for JOBZ benefits. Those benefits include NO property tax on new development, NO sales tax on goods and services, and NO corporate income tax or individual income tax on investments. As a JOBZ participant you will also receive Minnesota corporate income tax credits or rebates for higher paying jobs.

Hawley Parks

Westgate Park:
Located on the west side of Highway 10. Westgate Park is a handicap accesible facility. It provides playground equipment, picnic shelters, roller blading/biking/walking path as well as a winter ice skating rink and warming house.

Community Kids Park:
Is our newest park, located just east of the Community Center. It offers playground equipment only.

Brekken Park:
Located at the corner of Reno Street and 1st Street. This park has playground equipment only. It is named after Bob Brekken, long-time Hawley Herald Publisher, and commemorates his dedication to Hawley and its youth.

Stockholm Park:
Located near Riverview Acres Trailer Park and offers playground equipment only.

Riverbend Park:
Located on the east side of the railroad tracks south of Highway 10. It is adjacent to the Buffalo River and it offers playground equipment and two walking bridges over the Buffalo River. There is also a wayside rest and a picnic area.

Robert Asp Park:
Located in downtown Hawley, this park commemorates the building and sailing of the Hjemkomst (Homecoming) Gokstad Viking ship which focused national and international attention on Hawley. The final destination of the Hjemkomst is Moorhead, Minn. where it remains on display at the Hjemkomst museum.
